ABOUT PHUDGE
When I was 19 years old, I spent 4 wintery months in the Czech Republic. One day, wandering the streets of Prague, I came across a photographer selling his little photo crafts in the street. We shared each other’s life stories and I purchased a few small prints from him, and right there began my quiet little dream of one day selling my own photographic goodies.
I am now a formally trained photographer, having studied professional photography from 1995-1998. My expertise lies in photographic print making, project management, and aesthetics. I believe in quality photographs printed with quality materials, and handled with care.
PH(otographic) (f)UDGE – two of my favourite things in life – was created in 2005, as a playful appreciation of the photographic image. It explores and expresses the lighter side of profundity. As to what I photograph: light, space, small precious moments – I photograph what moves me inside, what I feel.
My other photographic pursuit, is that of a visual artist. In my professional arts practice, separate from phudge, I explore complex and personal subject matter deepening my relationship to the photographic medium.
